Carver is Officially Recognized as a Candidate Status (Pre-Accredited) Institution

On this Tuesday, February 11, 2020, Dr. Antoine Richardson, Zach Salsbury, and Ron Williams appeared before the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) Commission on Accreditation where 23 commissioners questioned them on Carver’s collective progress and continuous improvement efforts.  Because of hard work of our board, administrative staff, faculty, and students, we were prepared to share our progress and answer the Commission’s questions regarding how Carver intends to further improve the quality of education offered to students as well as the quality of the institution as a whole.  After the Commission’s deliberation, these School Officials were informed that the Commission motioned that Carver receive Candidate (Pre-Accreditation) Status at the conclusion of their meeting with them!  On Friday, February 14, 2020, Carver’s Candidate Status was ratified in the Assembly of Delegates (Business) Meeting.  That Evening, Carver was officially recognized as a Candidate Status Institution at the annual ABHE Celebration Dinner.

As a result of achieving Candidate Status, our Institution is now eligible for:

* An .edu website

* Title IV benefits for federal student loan program

Dr. Richardson is very excited about the work Carver is collectively executing!!!  He looks forward to working with all constituents of Carver over these next four years as they all work to achieve the Institution’s ultimate goal of full accreditation and “training and equipping Christians for effective local church ministry in a multi-ethnic world.”
